Police and Justice Conference 2018

Branch Secretary Emma Schofield, Branch Chair Tony Whomersley and Vice Chair and Branch Communications Officer Kim O’Brien attended the Police and Justice Conference in Bournemouth from 10th-13th October.

Tony put forward motions on behalf of the Yorkshire and Humberside Police and Justice Service Group and Kim spoke in support of motion 19: Police Resources, the cuts and the impact on staff.

There were also guest speakers at conference, Shadow Policing Minister and Sheffield MP Louise Haig and also Marcellus Baz, an ex gang member from Nottingham who spoke about his experience of gang culture and his charity Step Up which works with young people to steer them aware from gangs and knife crime
